No tickets needed to attend; seating is general admission. The ceremony usually lasts around two hours. Graduates’ names will be read by degree level in this order: doctoral, certificate, master’s, and bachelor’s.
Convocation is not a certification of graduation, but rather a ceremony that celebrates your academic achievements. You must satisfy all of your degree requirements before you officially graduate and receive your diploma.
Registration to participate is open until May 4, 2026. Please review the Registration and To-Do Checklist below.
1. All students who intend to graduate must apply to graduate via the "Graduation" tab in the Banner Self-Service System. Please be aware of the deadlines.
4. Read more about The College of Education ceremony in the tabs on the left side of the screen. Links to both the Graduate College Doctoral Hooding ceremony and University Commencement ceremony are included if you choose to participate in those events.
Post-Ceremony Celebration
Join your fellow graduates, family, friends, and College of Education faculty and staff at the Education Building (1310 S. Sixth Street) after Convocation! The reception will have photo opportunities, cookies and water, and a small gift for each graduate.
Congratulations! You've taken the first step to becoming a student of the College of Education. The application process is different for undergraduate and graduate studies.
